Damn-it, I'm all for interrogating suspects especially those suspected of terrorism. I'm all for using using strong means to get them to talk (not blatant torture, mutilation, etc). I'm all for trying them in courts military or otherwise. What I don't like is the suspension of Habeas Corpus. What happens when one of us poor schlubs who's name is common enough to be on the no-fly lists irks one of our Homeland Security types and causes them to suspect that person of being a terrorist? It looks like under this law we'd have no more appeal to the courts. Maybe I'm being paranoid but I keep seeing our rights going quietly into the sunset. Is it just me or does anyone else notice it?
